Option 1: We know that adolescence is a time of growth and development. There are numerous approaches to understanding adolescence, including biological, cognitive, psychoanalytic, and social perspectives. For this discussion, answer the following:

Which perspective—biological, cognitive, psychoanalytic, or social—best describes adolescence?

What are the major differences between adolescents and emerging adults?

What factors are involved that influence an adolescent's development?

Option 2: Think of a moral dilemma from your own adolescence. What did you decide, and why did you decide it that way? How would your moral reasoning on that dilemma be scored according to Kohlberg's system? How would it be classified according to Jensen's three ethics?

Option 3: Locate an article published in the last year about an issue (biological, cognitive, psychoanalytic, or social) adolescents face now, or that you dealt with in your own adolescence.
