Assignment details:

This week, you learned about the importance of running important decisions through a decision-making process in order to make the best decisions for an organization. This process can also help you make decisions in your personal life.

Think about a particular decision that either you or someone close to you needs to make. This could be almost anything, as long as it involves making a decision with multiple options.

For example, suppose you live in an apartment and your small child wants a pet. You work and go to school, so the pet will be alone for several hours each day. You need to decide what kind of pet would be best given your circumstances.

Perform the following tasks:

• Write a paper on your decision-making process. Include the following elements:

o A detailed explanation of your objective – the decision you are trying to make.

o Relevant information – gather information you will need to make your decision and provide an explanation of what it is and how it will help you.

o A description of the feasible options – provide an explanation of 2-3 feasible options from which you will make your decision, noting the strengths and weaknesses of each choice.

o Make your decision – provide a detailed explanation of the decision you made and why you think it is the best choice.

o Implementation and evaluation – provide a brief description of how you will implement this decision and evaluate the success of the choice you made (note: you are not required to actually implement and evaluate, just discuss how you will do this as part of the process).

o Finally, write a one paragraph reflection on how going through this process to make a personal decision might help you in a future management role.

• Your paper must be at least 500 words long.

• Cite any sources using APA format.
