The company will be buying an existing manufacturing facility in the farEast that employs roughly 500 local people. Salaries are very low and working conditions are poor. There is evidence that human rights have been violated. You want to improve this situation for these employees that you will inherit, but you have been warned that other companies in this area will consider you a threat. And, such improvements will also increase costs and make the company’s expansion less profitable.
