Applied Research Paper (50 points)
TWO DEADLINES: 1. Proposal due in f2f class on Tuesday, September 14th.
the ways in which you will apply principles studied in this course. You will give an informal 2 minute presentation of your proposed topic in the f2f class. If you would like to get started on your paper early, you may submit your proposal earlier than the due date. However, please do not begin work on your paper until I have approved your proposal. (Grading rubric is listed below.)
- Completed research paper due by Sunday, October 11that midnight EST.
For the final project, write a paper that involves either extensive work you have applied in helping another individual with end of life issues, OR describing the complex issues involved with planning your own end of life issues. There should be heavy reference to settling of estates, emotional stress, clerical stress, and familial issues that accompany end of life issues. In this paper, you will integrate information from class readings and discussions with what you learn from the interviews or applications. The paper will synthesize academic material and real-life experiences. (Grading rubric is listed below.)

- Follow these font requirements: font = 12-point, Times New Roman, double-spaced. If you do not adhere to the font requirements, points will be deducted.
- Make the paper 5–6 pages in length, not including the abstract and references page.
- Use in-text citations in American Psychological Association (APA) style, as shown in thePublication Manual of the American Psychological Association.
