Your team has been contracted by Tech-Comm, a start-up technology company, that specializes in producing products for the savvy, aware 18-30-year-old college crowd including new graduates and existing students Tech-Comm has decided to partner with local businesses in the Houston area to support its global mission. Your team must research a Small Business in Houston and develop a marketing campaign that can be used on all social media platforms. Before your group implements a plan, contact the business owner to inquire what would be most helpful regarding messaging and community/customer engagement. In your research find out the business mission, vision, and include them in the marketing campaign. Also in the campaign, please do the following:

• Create a graphic that the business can use to market their business on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Clubhouse, etc.)

• Create a slogan or theme for the campaign • Develop a Social Media communication schedule (frequency of engagement) • Determine if there will be different engagement models/activities for each platform • BE CREATIVE • Include in the presentation information that would attract the target audience and also help the company grow and meet the goals Instructions: Using the information provided, create the marketing campaign/presentation in a PowerPoint (PPT).

The presentation should explain how this campaign will meet the goals and needs of the business owner.

Format: 1. Recorded presentation: 10-12 minutes 2. PowerPoint: 10-12 slides 3. Presentation Must have’s (not included in the slide count)

• Title slide

• Agenda/Table of Contents slide (used to organize the presentation)

• Reference slide (used to cite any research)

• The Presentation must be completed using PowerPoint (PPT)

• The presentation must be recorded using Zoom (please see instructions)

o When using Zoom, follow the posted Zoom instructions for recorded presentations found in Bb.

? Be sure to select ‘record to the cloud’ to get a recording link.

This will email you a weblink after it is converted to the proper format.

? Alternative: Record to the Computer

? *If you record to the computer, you will have to find another application/platform to upload the video to that will create a weblink for viewing.

? *The recording can also upload to YouTube. If you use this option, be sure that it is marked ‘unlisted’ and I have access to review it.

? Copy the link from these recordings on the title slide of your presentation. *Do not embed any links or videos to the PPT presentation.

• Other recording tips:

o Students must be visible for the recording

o Students should not be in the same location to record this presentation (use Zoom as a

meeting-schedule the meeting and record)

o Recording can be waist up

o Students should dress business casual or business professional

o Student should avoid environmental distractions- sounds, images, people, etc. while

recording

o Review the grade rubric for information on oral presentation
