Option 1: Prepare a 3 to 5 page report on leadership. This can be an interview with someone in the organization that you are working for or a report on the types of leaders you have been exposed to in your internship or in previous and/or current work experience. Your report should include:

What does leadership mean to you?

What are the characteristics of a good leader?

What is the difference between a leader and a manager?

What types of leaders have you been exposed to?

What have some of the leaders you have worked for done that impressed you the most?

What leadership traits do you want to develop for yourself?

Report should respond to the questions above and can include any additional information you want to share about leadership. The report should be double spaced, 1 inch margins and include a cover page with your name, title of report, class title and due date.

Option 2: You can conduct an interview with someone in the organization that you are working for or someone you have worked for in the past or someone you admire as a great leader.   Interview them and ask them some of the following questions: What are the primary purpose of their job? What are the challenges of your job? What do you like and dislike about your job? How did you acquire your position?   Do you have any role in the companies strategic planning process?   Why do people like working for this company?   What is the difference between a leader and a manager? How does the company develop its leaders and managers?  

If you had to do it over again, would you select the same path you did to get into this job? Please elaborate.   What advice would you give someone interested in entering this field as a career.   You can ask varying questions, these are provided to give you some ideas and a starting point for your questions.

Commercial

Prepare and read a 30 to 45 second commercial marketing your internship site. This should be prepared as if it was going to be aired on a quick radio spot or quick commercial on some social media format.   Prepare this assignment with some enthusiasm and leave the audience with some good knowledge about the company and its purpose.   Use your creativity to leave your audience with a good feeling about the company.
