Article Critique: 1 article assignment

Article Critique: 1 article for a total of 100 points.Review and critique of empirically-based articles. PB: 12, 30. Student will select two articles that are empirically based and which informs practitioners on evidence-based practice utilizing the universities online library resources. Students will be required to demonstrate an understanding of critical analysis & show their ability to engage appropriately their peers and faculty during a critique presentation. The critique will consist of an overview of the research article addressing the methodology, sampling procedures, results, limitations, & how it is applicable to the social work profession. The review should address ethical implications and concerns with population (sample) if any exist.
This written assignments will meet the standards of scholarly performance for content, punctuation, grammar, spelling, sentence structure, etc. American Psychological Association (APA) style is required for all papers. The critique will be no less than 5 double space pages (not including title page, abstract and reference) with no more than .5 for margins on all sides, and 1.5 spacing between paragraphs. Use Times Roman, with 12 inch fonts Rubric for each assignment are attached.

Rating is based on a Likert Scale where:
5 = Exceptional corresponds to an A (90-100). Performance is outstanding; significantly above the usual expectations.
4 = Proficient corresponds to a grade of B- to B+ (80-89). Standards are above the level of expectation.
3 = Average corresponds to a C- to C+ (70-79). Standards are acceptable but improvements are needed to meet expectations well.
2 =Marginalcorresponds to a D (69 to 60%). Performance is weak and improvements are needed to meet the expectations and standards. The standards are not sufficiently demonstrated at this time.
