Question 1

In the last few weeks, we have learned about leadership and becoming an agent for change.

The DNP program at American Sentinel University requires students to develop and implement an evidence-based capstone project addressing an issue related to their DNP program specialization area that is relevant to the advancement of the nursing profession.  Please refer to the Capstone Guide found in the DNP lounge for specific project requirements.  Remember your project needs to focus on implementation science.  You will be implementing a change in practice and evaluating the effectiveness of the change utilizing a valid and reliable tool.  Please feel free to discuss your thoughts on a Capstone project with the professor facilitating this course.

You will all, in the near future, be attending Capstone Residency I.  You should go to residency prepared with a topic, practice change intervention, and a research question.

In this forum please share your thoughts regarding a capstone topic, how this project could change nursing practice (the intervention), and a research question for your Capstone project.  Support the need for your project by referencing current literature.
