DQ1 Assessing the quality and safety of care has become increasingly important to providers; especially with the advent of evidence-based practice. To provide quality care and services, data must be collected to measure baseline, targets, and progress in meeting pre-defined outcomes. If the correct data are not collected, it is impossible to monitor quality performance and outcomes.  For your discussion this week, visit the AHRQ, QSEN, IHI and NDNQI sites listed in your Resources section and review these resources available to create a culture of safety and quality in healthcare organizations. Evaluate these resources and provide an example of how these resources are integrated into nursing practice at your organization. Discuss recommendations for integration of additional resources not being utilized.

DQ2 This week you will begin working on your Systems Development Life Cycle Gantt Chart that is due in Module 7.  The basic purpose of a Gantt Chart is to break down a large project into a series of smaller tasks in an organized and logical way. To help prepare you for developing your own SDLC Gantt chart, your discussion this week will center on the tasks that were needed for the Wellness Alliance SDLC project case study (McGonigle & Mastrian, 2018).

This discussion should take the form of a brainstorming session to identify the tasks, milestones, and timelines that were, or will be needed, for the Wellness Alliance SDLC. You are not limited to the tasks in the case study - please feel free to be as creative as needed. This discussion should help you with ideas for your SDLC Gantt chart assignment.
