After digestion carbohydrates such as glucose are absorbed

After digestion carbohydrates such as glucose are absorbed through the villi wall and into the blood stream. Describe in detail how the body then gathers the energy of glucose molecule at the cellular level. What biochemical reactions happen in order to harvest the maximum amount of energy? (You can ignore the PentosePhosphate Pathway in this essay). How is the energy absorbed and passed along the pathways? For each of the three main pathways described in lectures discuss the following;
a) Location
b) Enzymes and Products involved
c) Energy-balance
d) Regulation
Your essay should include how each of the pathways relate to each other and are inter-regulated. You do not have to discuss mechanism of each enzyme-catalysedreaction in detail but you need to include what is produced, and used in each reaction and how the energy of those products could be harnessed further down in the pathways and converted into a form that can be used in biochemical reactions through the cell and the body.
