For discussions this week--select at least one of the following to discuss this week:

1. Go to a financial statement of a U.S. publicly traded company. Most likely they have translation of foreign currency financial statements. Tell us what company you are discussing. How do you know whether or not their financial statements have translation of foreign currency financial statements - what do you see that tells you?

2. What are the major differences between IFRS and U.S. GAAP in the translation of foreign currency financial statements?

3. Explain one of the foreign currency translation methods. Describe the pros and cons of this translation method.

4. You can discuss the chapter 6 questions that start on page 200. You can choose to discuss one of the questions--there are 10 questions, so tell us which question you are discussing.
