Case study on PAIN
A 75-year-old male comes in to follow up on his chronic joint pain due to osteoarthritis. He has been very well maintained on diclofenac sodium/misoprostol with negative results on all prior Hemoccult cards. His interval history is significant for a recent hospitalization for new-onset atrial fibrillation, and he is now taking warfarin (Coumadin).
What drug interaction are you most concerned about? What are some other treatment alternatives for this man?
