· The research strategy that you will use to explore the problem

· 1 research question or hypothesis

· Your rationale for selecting your proposed research strategy

· 1 research instrument that you will use to collect data

In addition, you must develop a questionnaire or survey. Complete the following steps:

You work for a popular consumer electronics company that sells products such as cell phones, tablets, and personal computers. The director of operations has asked you to establish a warehousing operation for the reception and distribution of goods manufactured outside of the United States to the company's primary install base located in North America. Sales of the company's product are most significant in the Northeast and Western parts of the United States. Sales in North America also include products sold in Canada. Complete the following:

· Because this venture is a new endeavor for the company, you need to research the market and industry trends for warehousing.

· Write a white paper to report your findings and to give your recommendations about which warehousing activities and systems your business should employ.

Instructions:

Read the assignment above carefully.You are tasked with establishing a warehousing operation for cell phones, tablets, and personal computers manufactured overseas and imported to the United States for sale and distribution in the U.S. and Canada. Product sales are heaviest in the Northeast and West. Identify and recommend warehousing options (e.g., 3PL), well-defined warehouse design and operations, and systems (e.g., warehouse management system). Other criteria that can be considered are the inventory methods of palletized and nonpalletized products, storage, and material handling systems.
