WHY GEOGRAPHICAL MAPS ARE IMPORTANT

Maps have been around for 8000 years or so. A map is a representation that represents an area or part of an area, generally on a flat surface. Geographical maps are used to demonstrate specific and detailed features of an area.

The geographical maps are important because of the following reasons:-
