  • Where did it happen? Is this relevant?

 

You need to follow the pattern of a mini-story while writing an anecdote. First, you introduce your narrative, then you describe what happened, and then you allow the readers to ask a question or draw a conclusion to conclude. 

 

Difference Between Anecdotes and Stories

 

Anecdotes and stories are different since the former consists of 2-3 paragraphs, and the latter is rather longer. Secondly, stories can be a lot more fictional and narrative, while anecdotes have certain narrative limitations.
