UNIT 4

Notes determine duration and pitch of a sound. Knowing that, and knowing that the human voice is an instrument in itself, how would you feel if the only way to speak was to notate out each word, sentence, phrase, or paragraph? Do we not do that already with words?

UNIT 5

Enharmonics are notes, intervals, or key signatures that are equivalent to some other note, interval, or key signature but "spelled", or named differently. Why do you think we need multiple ways to write notes, intervals, or key signatures in western music?
