In a 2 page paper double spaced and written in either MLA or APA style, please explain what reading Kurt Vonnegut’s "Slaughterhouse-Five" meant to you as a reader, student, and human being. Address how Vonnegut’s exploration of Billy Pilgrim’s experiences in WWII and after have altered and/or added to your own views on that war, war in general, U.S. veterans, PTSD, etc. Please use the language of a literature student when referring to any lit concepts that helped you to come to these conclusions. This is more of a personal response/reaction paper to the novel than a strict academic essay, but please still write and analyze your claims coherently, concisely, and intelligently. You must use examples/quote passages from the text to prove your point(s).
