The Learning Team will review the sections of the Learning Team Toolkit. Each member of the team will choose one of the following sections and post a summary in the Learning Team forum. Team members should comment as appropriate to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the team. Sections to summarize:

  • Decisions/Conflict Resolution
  • Team Learning

NOTE: This is an individual assignment NOT a group summary. Each member will post their section to a thread in the Learning Team for all other members to reference. The sooner this is posted, the sooner the team can move forward with the other Learning Team activities.

WEEK TWO:

Individual Program Progression Requirement:Personal Assessment Interview

Complete the Personal Assessment Interview activity posted in the Main forum (available after Wednesday of Week 1). The purpose of this interview is to determine your disposition toward teaching and to provide you with feedback regarding your personal qualities related to the teaching profession.

Follow the instructions as posted.

Once a satisfactory score is received you must then complete the Interview form on TaskStream. Do NOT complete the form in TaskStream until receiving an assignment grade in your individual forum.

Access the form through TaskStream in the Assignments DRF via the course link.

Submit the form in TaskStream to your faculty member AFTER completing the activity in the Main course forum.

Individual:Teacher Work Sample Reflection Paper

Writea 350- to 700-word reflection on teacher work samples, addressing the following:

  • Purpose
  • Major elements
  • Use in the classroom
  • Questions and concerns

Prepare to discuss your questions and concerns regarding the teacher work sample in class.

Refer to the information posted in the Main forum and what you research atwww.uni.edu.

Learning Team:Parent and Community Involvement Product and Presentation

Read the 4A Parent and Community Involvement proficiencies from Domain Four, The Professional Educator, of the University of Phoenix Teacher Education Program Standards located on your student website.

Brainstorm two to three activities to address each of the five proficiencies listed.

Select one activity and develop a product, such as a flyer, brochure, poster, handout, or newsletter, as an example of how you might facilitate parent and community involvement.
