DQ1 Food Waste
In the United States, food waste is estimated at between 30–40 percent of the food supply. This figure, based on estimates from USDA’s Economic Research Service of 31 percent food loss at the retail and consumer levels, corresponded to approximately 133 billion pounds and $161 billion worth of food in 2010. Research and discuss one area that consumers and industry can work to reduce food loss and waste across the supply chain.
DQ2 Dealing with eWaste
As great as digitization has been for the world, it does of course have its downsides. The problem of e-waste is one of the more measurable ones. According to the chart below, the United States was only second to Norway in the amount of e-waste generated per inhabitant in 2016.
