In this aspect I would do business with a bank internationally and who does business internationally.
The reason behind this is because if the company does business with a local bank they only have access
with local things. The company would be interested in doing business internationally so, if we picked a
local bank they wouldn't have access to anything locally. For, example that is like banking with a local
credit union they would have access to a lot things like a bank of America. For instance if you wanted to
go out of town and deposit money you wouldn't be able to because that credit union is only in your
area. To where if you where to bank with Bank America they are international and they have banks
almost in everywhere giving you access to deposits and transactions. Now, the question is what bank
would we do business with Bank of America, HSBC, or Citibank. Even though Bank of America is the
largest wholesale, commercial, and retail bank and they bring in over $110 billion I wouldn't choose
them. Right now Bank of America is going through a settlement for the misuse of people's accounts by
charging them a fee just to use there card every month. That is something that our company doesn't want
to be involved in whether it affects our business or not. Now, Citibank is also one of the largest retail
banks falling in the 4th place bringing well over $100 billion dollars, but they don't have HSBC bank
beat. HSBC falls third on the list as one of the top retail banks bringing in $105 billion. The only down
fall is that they only have 316 branches ,but they are still well know internationally. We want to do
business with a bank that has history, well known, and of course brings in revenue. The revenue is
maybe the most important part of doing business.

With an expanding market, a business needs to have cutting-edge services and advice in order to navigate the difficulties when conducting a business internationally. For this reason, ACME should choose a bank located within the United States. SunTrust is a top 5 bank for international business and can offer a business with a full variety of banking and risk management services, which include payment solutions, foreign exchange, trade financing, and letters of credit. In fact, in 2011 SunTrust was named the Small Business Administration’s Export Lender of the Year due to their amount of export capital loans to businesses in the U.S. (SunTrust, 2013).
There are several reasons ACME should chose a bank within the U.S. and SunTrust can assist in each of those. With ACME needing to reach the international consumers, having the ability to handle transactions in various currencies is vital. SunTrust is a bank that can offer risk management services and foreign exchange in over 100 currencies to help ACME compete in the international market. They also offer a secure Online Foreign Exchange Trading system that allows businesses to sell and trade currencies in real-time rates and create tailored reports (SunTrust, 2013).
Currently, SunTrust has assisted hundreds of international companies, providing them with expert leadership and advice that is tailored to the company’s unique needs. It doesn’t matter if ACME would be collecting from consumers in Asia, or paying their suppliers in Europe, the bank can offer a variety of solutions to manage the international payments and receivables, as well as help monitor international cash flow. SunTrust offers international automated clearing house payments, multi-bank accounts, wire transfers, and multi-currency. SunTrust allows the company to have the ability to shift funds internationally and track all their international accounts from any computer (SunTrust, 2013).
