LAW101 Unit 1 Discussion latest 2018 January

You have read the copy of the Constitution posted in this Unit and in Appendix A of our textbook. Please re-read the Fourth Amendment and discuss as follows; be sure to number your answers.

  1. Share your opinion of what it means.
  2. Share what you are basing your opinion on.
  3. Comment on at least 3 classmate’s opinions.

Note: later in our Course we will read and write about a U.S. Supreme Court case which focuses on this Amendment. This Discussion is a good way to be introduced to what you will be reading later.

Discussion Criteria (shown in the first Unit - please use throughout the course): The MINIMUM Discussion requirement is one (1) original post -- which completely answers the question(s) in paragraph format, and three (3) student reply posts. All posts should be relevant, substantive, articulate, and properly cite all sources referenced. Grading is based upon both quality and quantity of postings. Each student is requested to read the unit material and post his/her original discussion (answer) no later than 11:59 PM (2359 hours Eastern Time) on Wednesday night. This allows other students ample time to read and reply in depth to other student posts. Each student is also requested to post a minimum of 3 classmate replies during the Thursday through Sunday time frame. Typically, the instructor will begin to 'chime in' on Thursday -- after having read all original answers. Discussion grades will be posted the following Tuesday. Discussion comments will also be posted which inter alia will remind you of Discussion requirements. Review the full Discussion Board grading rubric in Course Information.
