What is Rotation and Revolution of Earth<\/span><\/h2>\n

Rotation is the process of the spinning of the earth around its axis. In this case, the axis has an angle of 23 and a half degrees, which is also perpendicular to the plane of the earth\u2019s orbit. This is the reason why the earth is tilted on its axis, and thus the northern and southern hemispheres lean in a direction away from the sun. Hence, the rotation of the earth divides its region as half light and half dark, which gives rise to day and night.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

While the revolution of earth is its movement around the sun in a fixed path; the earth revolves from west to east in an anticlockwise direction. The change of years is because the earth revolves around the sun in a year. More so, the revolution speed of the earth around the sun is 30 km\/s-1.<\/span><\/p>\n
