About The Author<\/b><\/h2>\n

E.M. Forster <\/b>(1 January 1879-7 June 1970) was an English novelist, short story writer, librettist, and essayist. He was born in London. Most of his novels are based on class differences and hypocrisy, including Howards End, A Passage to India, and A Room with a view. The passage of India is a great success to his work. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature. He was a notable broadcaster on BBC radio and also a public figure.<\/span><\/p>\n

This story is based on the times when the British ruled India. The plot of the story based on the Chandrapore, a city along the river Ganges, famous for its Marabar caves. The story is about a Muslim doctor who is frustrated because of the ill-treatment he received from the British.
