What is HomeworkMinutes.com?
HomeworkMinutes.com is an online marketplace for homework assistance and tutoring.

Students can post their questions to get tutorials and help from tutors and other students, along with a due-date before which help will be required, and a price which they are willing to pay for the help.

The posted question is made available to all the tutors and other students on the website for them to submit tutorials in response to the question.

Students get a chance to preview random portion of all the tutorials. This helps them to choose one that is more relevant and detailed, and finally purchase it. After making the payment, the tutorial is immediately made available to the students for downloading and studying.

Similarly, if someone is an expert on particular subject, they can write tutorials for questions posted by students on this website. Experts can also post questions on their favourite subjects and then post tutorials for the same.

All the tutorials are available for other students to purchase for the price set by the experts. This way students get academic help and tutors can make money by helping the students!
Are the Tutorials paid?
Absolutely!

The tutors / experts have to spend a lot of their time and efforts in writing up good quality tutorials so that the students can really understand the concept.
In turn they do charge for a nominal fee for helping the students in a responsible manner.

How does the rating and feedback system work?
Our rating system is designed to help both the students and tutors / experts.

Feedback for Tutorials and Tutors:
  • Feedback for a tutorial can be positive, neutral or even negative!
  • For every tutorial purchased, the student can give a rating to the question and leave a feedback for the quality of the tutorial they've received.
  • This rating is attached to the tutorial as well as the overall feedback score of the tutor who posted the tutorial. This can be viewed by all the site users, anytime.
  • If a tutorial is rated higher, the other students can be more confident on the quality of the content. Similarly, a negative rated tutorial will ensure other students stay away from it!
  • The feedback received for all the posted tutorials is also attached to the Tutor's overall feedback score.
  • Students generally trust more on responses from Tutors with a higher feedback score, as compared to those who have a negative score.
Feedback for Students:
  • Feedback for a Student can be positive or neutral, but cannot be negative!
  • For every tutorial sold, the tutor can give provide rating and feedback for the student, that reflects if the student was able to understand the concept with reasonable explanation and the entire transaction was trustworthy.
  • This rating is attached to the question as well as the overall feedback score of the student who posted the question. This can also be viewed by all the site users, anytime.
  • If a student is rated higher, the other Tutors can be more confident that the student who posted the question is legitimate and is generally interested in paying for good tutorials.
  • The feedback received for all the posted questions is attached to the Student's overall feedback score.
Common Feedback Score for Students and Tutors:
  • Since the students can also post tutorials on the website, the final feedback score of a user is a summary of all the feedback they've received for posting questions as well as tutorials!

For Students

How can I register? Do I have to pay to register?
Registering with us is easy and free. Nothing is to be paid at the time of registering. Posting a tutorial is free too. The tutors who answer those tutorials can put a price to that answer. In order to access the answer you will have to purchase the answer by paying the amount asked by the tutor.

A fee of $0.30 + 3.4% will be charged for each purchase that occurs. For example, if a purchase of $10 takes place, a total amount of $10.64 will be charged as payment.
How to Ask Questions?
A student can post their academic question on HomeworkMinutes.com through the Ask a Question link available on top of every page.

While posting a question, they need to specify:
- a Title (brief introduction on the what the question is about)
- detailed Question (the actual question that requires help, along with any file attachments)
- the Price that they are willing to pay for a good tutorial
- the Due date, before which the tutorial is required
- the Subject / Topic to which the question relates

As soon as the student posts a question, it becomes available to everybody on the site-students, tutors everyone. The tutors can then post their answers with a price. The students will get a preview of the answers posted by the tutors. The preview will include a part of the answer posted by the tutor. In order to access the full answer, the student will have to pay the price demanded by the tutor.
How is the Price of a tutorial determined?
When a student posts a question, they can set a price they are "Willing to Pay" for a tutorial. This generally depends on the expected complexity of the question, along with the urgency and effort required to write the tutorial. This is only indicative to let the tutors/experts know that the student is willing to pay this much.

However, the Tutor can have a different perspective over the complexity of the tutorial and the efforts required to write the tutorial can also vary.

They can therefore ask for a higher / lower price that what is being "Offered" by the student.

It is also possible that multiple tutors post their tutorial in response to a single question or topic, and all of them can have a different "Asked Price".

It is up to the student to finally decide whether they want to buy the tutorial at the price set by the tutor / expert or they may request the tutor to adjust the price by sending the message.
Can someone buy tutorials posted for other student's question?
Definitely! Anyone can browse through existing questions on the topic of their choice.

If they find a question relevant to them, they can also preview the existing tutorials submitted against it.

If they like the preview, they can make the payment and purchase the tutorial to get immediate access to the complete tutorial.

This also holds true even if the original question poster has not purchased the given tutorial!
I don't have a PayPal account. How can I pay for homework?
Even if you don't have a PayPal account, you can pay by using your credit or debit card without even registering for an account. In order to do so:
  • Click the Pay Now button of the answer you wish to purchase, you will be redirected to a PayPal web page.
  • Click the "Pay with a credit or debit card" text below.
  • It might be easier if you uncheck the checkbox near "Save this information with a PayPal account" at the bottom of the page.
  • Proceed by filling in the rest of the information and clicking Agree and Continue at the bottom.
How does the preview of the Tutorial work?
For every tutorial posted in response to a question, 20-25% random portion of the actual Tutorial is picked and made available to all the users. This is never the last 20% of the tutorial text.

An approximate number of words in the tutorial, as well as the size and type of attachment files of the tutorials is also shown to the students.

This preview can give you an idea of how effective the complete tutorial would be.

The interest of the Tutor is also preserved this way, as the students can't read their entire tutorial without paying for it!
What are the Subjects or Categories for?
All the Questions are arranged on HomeworkMinutes.com according to the subject and categories. This has been devised to ensure better and effective organization of all the questions and tutorials on the website.

This way the experts can find the questions on their relevant topics easily and students can get help in lesser time.

Even the students can browse through existing questions on the website to look for a question that has already been answered by some expert!

This saves time and provides better visibility to the questions as well as tutorials to everyone.
Where can I find my already purchased tutorials?
As soon as you purchase a tutorial, you can find that tutorial along with your previously purchased tutorials in the "Purchased Tutorials" link present on the top of the page (see the illustration below).

This link is also available to you once you have logged in to your account.

Is my payment details safe?
Yes it is absolutely safe and secure. The payment is processed through Paypal and our website never saves any of your confidential details from your Paypal Account.
I have an issue with my homework. What should I do?
If you are not satisfied with an answer you've purchased please contact the teacher via a message. It might be a simple misunderstanding you can quickly overcome.

If this fails to resolve the issue, please contact us at with your issue. Any issue can be filed up to 25 days after a payment was made.

Good to see you interested. Just register with us and start answering the questions.

In order to be successful, see for yourself if your answer is in accordance with the price and keep a good rating and maintain it!

Note: You need to be logged in to your account in order to view the link "Submit a Tutorial" for a given question.
Can someone "Get Paid" for being an expert?
Yes. Experts can post tutorials in response to questions on the subjects of their choice, and set a price for it.

Students get a preview of the posted tutorial and if they like it, they pay the price asked by the tutors/experts in order to get access to the complete tutorial.

HomeworkMinutes.com deducts a nominal transaction fee and rest of the amount is credited to tutor's account.
How do I get paid?
In order to get paid, you need to have a PayPal account and you need to confirm it with us. You can do that by going into "Profile" section after logging into your account. (see the illustration below)

When a student buys your answer, you'll get payment through your PayPal account.

Payments
A Private Message notifying the teacher of a payment is sent immediately when a tutorial is purchased.

There is no need to withdraw funds. Payments are sent to the teacher's PayPal account when they are due. A list a all payments are available at "Account Transactions" section, once you've logged in.

Fees
Fees are charged from teachers as follows:
  • Answers
    • If purchased by the question author - 15%
    • If purchased by another user - 30%

Why are the fees higher if purchased by another user?
The original student you did homework for is a deal you closed. You spent your time and efforts and priced it accordingly. If another student buys your homework, that's a bonus.

You get to keep 70% of this bonus.
When will I get my payments?
You will have your payments realized thrice in a month.

Like whatever is earned from 1st to 10th of every week, we will process that to your registered paypal id on 21st to 23rd.

Same way, whatever is earned from 11th to 20th of every week will be processed to your registered paypal id from 1st to 3rd of the coming month. Payment earned between 21st to end of month with be processed from 11th to 13th.
Can I post my previously done tutorials / assignments too?
Yes to increase your earnings, you can post your previously done tutorial for an assignment. You can post the question and the tutorial as well.

To avoid any dispute with the student who buys your already used tutorial for assignment, it is advisable to put "used before" after the title in the solution.
